Its time!  We’re announcing the winners of the Gameful Summer Series Challenges today!  We know you’ve all been sending us messages about when we would release the results.  Wait no longer.  Beyond the brink of the next paragraph break lies the information you’ve been pining for.

We’d like to let you know it has been a pleasure reading and playing through the fascinating entries that tickled almost every sense.  You all have voted on your favorites and we’re excited to see that many of the submissions are still being worked on.  We hope you all continue to work on your games.

Without further ado… here are the winners!

Challenge #4: Notching Up Natches:

Judge comments: There were several fun entries to choose from, and it was clear the Monsters had fun designing them!  I also loved that the Monsters were so supportive in helping each other develop their ideas.  I liked I Am The Genie for its simple but neatly executed mechanics that gave a very direct naches experience. I hope all the Monsters continue to develop and playtest their games, and take this as inspiration to find more opportunities for integrating naches into gameplay. :)

Challenge #5: I Feel Good!

  • Judge Pick: Tint
  • Mentorship Pick: Poisons & Potions
  • All other entries will be tweeted by Gameful founders

Challenge #6: Strangers No More

Judge comments: It was hard to decide which to pick out of these top four entries.  I ended up going for Eau de Memoir because it had been play tested and well documented in addition to having strong core mechanics.  I am interested in seeing all of these take off.  If you keep play testing please keep me in the loop!

Challenge #7: Socks For Change

Judge comments: It was a pleasure getting to see the creativity you came up with using our silly little sock factory. Thank you so much for playing. It was tough to decide and I am glad that both final entries won a prize! We look forward to future sock puppetry. Best, Jim.

Thank you for all of your feedback to each entry and for all of the participants who submitted entries.  We’re lookin’ forward to some more blasts of creativity next time.

Sincerely,

The Gameful Awesome Board
