How would one go about writing the GDD for a non-digital group game? I’ve found plenty of resources for digital games and can find some bits that are applicable, but a lot of it isn’t.
Basically, the game I’m working on is a group game with minimal equipment (think more pickup game like tag than ARG or board game). The game doc I’ve pieced together is such:
Introduction (the elevator pitch)
Background (purpose behind the game)
Description
Equipment
Roles
Rules
Key Features (“back of the box” info – benefits of the game)
Genre
Is this acceptable for non-digital group games? Would it be okay to include a section on dynamics that may emerge as well as possible variations of the game?
