So, the web structure of Gameful.org has room for improvement. I don’t see anything on the wiki about improving the gameful website. I propose adding a link to the following list to the wiki’s main page, and adding this text as a wiki article, since every member is automatically able to edit the wiki: EDIT: wiki has been conjured here: http://gameful.org/wiki/index.php/Making_Gameful_Better

With improvement, this can serve as the master list of proposed improvements on Gameful, and we can begin discussions on the order of importance and how to begin enacting the list. Please point out to me if such a list already exists anywhere.

I also feel @ambroziac deserves a mention for his post here: http://gameful.org/blog/2010/10/16/design-the-gameful-game/

And we can’t forget top-secret efforts to develop a chat system.

So we should add our ideas for site improvement directly to the wiki document? I think a big suggestion list is a great idea, but it will get messy and disorganized quickly unless we maintain constantly – which is cool, as long as we stay on top of it.

Something minor I was just thinking about today is the “Visit” option in the top left corner of the page that can take you to a random member or group. I think a filter should be imposed on it so that it only bring up profiles and forums that have been active in the past month or so. Otherwise it just brings up dead pages after dead page.

Please, encourage others to post their thoughts and suggestions to the discussions page. If it gets kludgy, we can offer points rewards and monster levels for people to help clean it up.

    Very possible!
    
    I was originally thinking that once your monster was leveled up, the admins could then provide custom items that you could ’dress’ your monster with: Things such as hats, sunglasses, t-shirts, etc.
    
    On the other hand, you could also include the aid of regular members to create such items. Perhaps there could be contests held where artists could submit item ideas and then the winner’s item would be sold site-wide, and the maker would receive treats or a free item.

Suggestion:
1) Let’s have games on gameful! It will bring more monsters and hold those that are already here! It will also bind us as a community with a reason and purpose to come back.
2) The ability to rate/give treats to a topic or group in order to identify how popular it is just like the ‘like’ button on facebook posts.

Would you care to take on the challenge of finding other active members, and gathering them to discuss? I see you have started the games on gameful forum topic- do you think you can get 20 more members to join in the discussion? Or 19, since I am about to post there

oh, another suggestion would be to implement the gamer’s personality test into the profiles such as a a little survey that figures out if you’re a killer, socializer, achiever, or explorer…maybe more traits…? it’d be interesting to see who’s what…
