    Location:

When it comes to my game-making career, I'm:

    pretty awesome (3-5 games)

Kinds of games I’m best known for making (or want to be known for making someday!): (check all that apply)

Board games, Card games, Educational games

    Will Collaborate For:

Creative Fulfillment and Fun, Free Food, Experience and Mentorship, Money, Big Money, A Chance at a Nobel Prize

Anything else you want to say about the kinds of projects or people or organizations you’d like to work with?

Hi everyone! I am finishing my MA in Interactivity and Game Design from SCAD soon. I pursued the degree because I love games and wanted to know more about them. My first career has been in veterinary medicine and scientific research (DVM, MS, and BS) but am totally planning to work in game design. I love the idea of games for improving the world!

Because I have such an eclectic background I am willing and excited to collaborate on any type of game!

    Games I’ve worked on:

Murderer’s Inc. – a real world murder mystery party game that I designed to enable social interaction and new friendships at large parties. I ran this game three years in a row.

Structure – a board game for kids that is designed to help develop spatial relations and strategy and planning skills.

Design Treasures – A Pirates Guide to Finding a Golden Design Every Time
This is a card game for teens to teach about graphic design and the methods used in graphic design to come up with successful designs.

Make a Mandala – this is a small Flash based app to enable the user to learn about and make Mandalas. Still in production.

Skills and Superpowers: (What abilities would you bring to a collaboration?)

I can collaborate on any anatomical, biological, medical, or veterinary medical issues you may want to tackle in a game. I am also trained in all aspects of graphic design. I also love story and storytelling and absolutely love coming up with story ideas!

3 games I’ve played that changed my life:

Murderer’s Inc – my own story driven murder mystery game. This changed my life because when I created it, I thought it just might be a fun way to get people at a large Halloween party I was having to interact and talk to each other. We had about 30 people at that party who didn’t know each other. It turned out that all of them played for over 4 hours to solve the mystery. Some of them even formed teams. For me, the idea that they would interact and be engaged for over 4 hours was mind
    boggling.

Pictionary – I think Pictionary still holds the test of time as far as getting people to interact with each other and to also get them to use their imaginations.

The Warlock on Firetop Mountain -both the Kindle version and the iPad app. I know this is a very old game but it is new to me and I just love it! I am interested in storytelling and I feel like this game is a testament to fun and innovative way to tell a story. I am only sorry it took me so long to know about it.
